From humble beginnings
QCONZ started in 1998 with a core focus in the dairy sector. With a handful of staff and a 1 year contract in the Waikato only no-one could have predicted that QCONZ would survive, let alone thrive and develop in to what the company is now.
Through the years QCONZ’s services have expanded on the core consultancy services to include training, eLearning and an extensive range of IT solutions.
These new services are now being provided to sectors as diverse as dairy, aged care, transport companies, chemical companies and many others, and we currently operate in New Zealand, Australia, South East Asia and South America.
In the late 2000’s QCONZ expanded significantly internationally with sister companies in QCONZ Australia and in Brazil with QCONZ America Latina.
QCONZ, and its sister companies, now has approximately 90 employees around the world and is set to expand further as the world increasingly focuses on food safety and quality.
Originally started as a drive to create efficiency and improvements, became quickly obvious technology offered advantages which quickly led to better management, more efficient use of resources, and ultimately better outcomes and service for our customers.
Early successes included a two-week reporting system to dairy companies transformed into near-real time and a system to manage the complexities of regulatory compliance of dairy shed water sources, clarity readings and ecoli testing.
From these early ideas it became clear that the information technology model which QCONZ had developed for itself could applied across any business, and that many other businesses could benefit from our insights.
