New director appointment
Date: Sep 2021
QCONZ is excited to announce the appointment of Mark Neal as an independent Director to our Board.
Mark is a Dairy Systems Specialist and Economist with DairyNZ and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the dairy industry.
While in research and development roles, he has worked with economic modelling and optimisation of farm systems, quantifying the impact of environmental regulation on farm profit and understanding international dairy sector competitiveness. More recently he has worked in policy and science-based mitigations for greenhouse gases, and contributed to strategy development.
Mark has managed dairy farms in New South Wales, Australia, and managed operations of grazing-based dairy farms in Chile and the United States.
Mark is passionate about all aspects of the dairy sector, and is enthusiastic about people and businesses succeeding.
We feel Mark is a good fit with our current operations, and has the ability to help us expand our horizons in line with our strategy.
We look forward to having Mark’s input into our governance and strategy.
QCONZ has been successful in our bid to be an approved audit agency for the NAIT accreditation programme assessment which launched this week.
