QCONZ proudly sponsors the Milk Quality Conference

Date: July 10, 2023

QCONZ proudly sponsored the Milk Quality Conference in Hamilton on the 4th and 5th July. Attended by 125, this was a great opportunity for engagement and collaboration between industry and service providers in the Dairy sector.

Ryan Hall, QCONZ General Manager of Audit, was in the organising committee; a team of individuals passionate about the New Zealand dairy sector. The committee worked hard to put together a comprehensive programme designed to inform, educate and inspire – a programme which centred on this year’s theme ‘Maintaining Global Trust’.

The programme was full and stimulating and had something in it for everyone. The QCONZ team were grateful for the opportunity to speak, alongside industry experts; sharing insights, latest research, and innovations.

Speaking from the QCONZ Team was;

  • Justin Moss, GM IT, presenting on ‘Farming in the digital world of compliance’
  • Tyree Connor, GM Training, presenting on ‘The Future of Dairy Training’
  • Josh Wheeler, COO, presenting on ‘Milking Efficiency and Milking Frequency Impacts’, together with Paul Edwards from DairyNZ.

The gala dinner was held at the end of day one. Guest speaker Jamie Fitzgerald delivered an inspiring speech. As the world record holder for rowing across the Atlantic Ocean and walking unaided to the South Pole, Jamie’s journey demonstrated resilience and achievement. As the CEO of Inspiring Performance, his insights resonated with attendees, leaving them motivated and empowered.

The event was a great success, thanks to the support of valued sponsors; Fonterra, Oceania Dairy, Tatua, QCONZ, DeLaval, Food Tech Solutions, Ecolab, MilkTestNZ, FIL, Skellerup, Deosan, and Levno.
