ITENZ Conference 2022

Date: October 31, 2022

A big thumbs up to the organisers of the 2022 ITENZ conference which provided a great networking and learning opportunity for Tertiary Providers.

This conference themes of courage, collaboration, capability, and creativity reflected the changing times and the new opportunities for the education sector. Among others, speakers from TEC, WDC’s, NZQA, Immigration NZ and Ako Aotearoa took centre stage, and provided valuable insight into the future education landscape.

Tyree Connor, our General Manager of Training, presented a workshop alongside Billie McNamee from Genesis Energy, entitled ‘Be the Koha, Not the Hoha’.  The workshop facilitated valuable discussion about the importance of Pepeha, how we embrace our own cultures and background to ensure authentic engagement with others, and how Te Tiriti (the Treaty) informs our education service. The session was well received, generating plenty of discussion amongst the attendees.
